Welcome to Day 4 of our Patch Management showcase! Once again this is the 2nd week of our 7 week campaign highlighting our services. Tomorrow we focus on how it will benefit your company. Next week is week 3, and we will be outlining what exactly Shadow Protect is and how it can help your company.
What is Patch Management? Patch Management is exactly as it sounds; it is a process that manages your software so you do not have too. There are many software vendors that updates come from, it can be from third party programs like Adobe, Flash or Java, or it can be directly from Microsoft. Microsoft patches usually come out every Tuesday but third party patch updates can come in at any time. Our software is set to schedule and it knows what needs to be updated so you don’t have to worry about it randomly updating a program you did not want updated. The way it works is every time a new update comes out our Patch Management system reviews and then applies the new updates.
When it comes to getting patches updated manually it generally takes around 30 minutes to have a tech install third party updates and Microsoft updates on a computer; the average rate for an IT company is $100.00 an hour. Our Managed Service Software eliminates the need to have a tech come out every other week and it is a fraction of the cost.
If this is something you might be interested in please contact our office and we will schedule a meeting to discuss how it can benefit your company. Look for the last post of this week’s Patch Management campaign tomorrow, it will show you more about how it can benefit your company!
